How can the UNIO device help?

For 20 minutes a day, the at-home treatment with the UNIO low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) device can help speed up bone fracture repair and improve healing.1*

Is the UNIO device right for me?

The UNIO device is indicated for treatment of fresh (recent) bone fractures and established non-unions (fractures that have not healed), excluding treatment of the skull and spine. The location and type of fracture will affect results.1

The UNIO device can be used through an open window within a cast as long as the transducer is touching the skin. It can also be used with metal screws and plates.1

The safety and effectiveness of UNIO has not been established for individuals that are skeletally immature (e.g. children), fractures that are substantially displaced, pregnant and breastfeeding women, complex fractures requiring surgery, patients with pacemakers, patients with certain medical issues, and/or patients who are currently taking certain medications. Speak to your doctor or healthcare provider for more information.1

How do I get started with UNIO?

Once you have been prescribed UNIO by a doctor or other healthcare professional for treatment of your injury, you will be contacted by an UNIO service provider to help you get started.

We can provide you with more information about an UNIO device and treatment, review your insurance benefits coverage, and assist with your reimbursement options. Once you receive your device, your service provider will assist you with training and use of the bone growth stimulator.

Start Early

Evidence suggests that it is beneficial to begin treatment with LIPUS as soon as possible after fracture.
