What is UNIO?

UNIO (Model No. 200) is a Health Canada-approved low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) medical device that offers one-touch ultrasound waves for the at-home treatment of fresh fractures and established non-unions, excluding treatment of the skull and vertebral column.1

How does UNIO work?

UNIO transmits a low-intensity pulsed ultrasound signal through the patient’s skin to the fracture site to be treated.¹

What is included in the UNIO Model No. 200 device kit?

The UNIO device kit includes a control unit and transducer (part of device that transfers the ultrasound waves to the skin), accessories (ultrasound gel, transducer holder and strap, and battery charger), and a carrying case.1
